Assessment Services
The Town of Delafield contracts with an independent firm for assessment services to fill the Appointed Statutory Position of Assessor. Since 1971, assessment services have been contracted through Schultz Appraisal Agency, LLC. The town’s Assessor is Jud Schultz of Schultz Appraisal Agency, LLC, based out of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.

Assessor’s Duties and Responsibilities.                     
The Assessor’s Office is responsible for the valuing of all non-exempt real and personal property in the municipality. It is their duty to ensure that all residential and commercial parcels within the municipal are valued uniformly as market trends dictate. By providing accurate and uniform values, the Assessor’s Office ensures that the burdens of taxes are distributed in a fair and equitable manner. To accomplish this mission the Assessor’s Office uses assessment methods in accordance with the Wisconsin Property Assessment Manual, Wisconsin State Statutes Chapter 70, and professionally accepted appraisal practices.
