Town Board Approves Moving Forward with Budget Referendum
The Town Board voted on July 28 to move forward with a $450,000 General Fund levy referendum on the November 3, 2020 ballot. The $450,000 increase in the operating levy will go toward roadway maintenance ($250,000), 40-hour Police protection ($115,000), and general operational expenses ($85,000). Delafield Parks Department Hiring
The Town of Delafield Parks Department is seeking a full time general laborer to help maintain park facilities and athletic fields. Wards 3 & 4 Polling Location Change to the Little Red School House
Residents who normally vote at the Church of the Resurrection will now vote at the Little Red School House on Highway KE. This change will take effect for both elections in 2020 and all elections moving forward. Remember, starting Monday, July 27, 2020 residents can begin in-person absentee voting at Town Hall. You also have until Thursday, August 6, 2020 to request an absentee ballot by mail.
Fall Primary - August 11
The Fall Primary Election will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2020. Residents can request an absentee ballot by mail by visiting Myvote.wi.gov or by visiting Town Hall. In person absentee voting will begin Monday, July 27. Town Hall will be open 8:00am to 4:00pm to cast an in person absentee vote. If you are looking to register to vote, please also visit myvote.wi.gov or visit the Town Hall during our open hours. In-person absentee voting ends Friday, August 7.
Town of Delafield Sponsored Baseball and Softball Cancelled
The Town of Delafield Recreation Department has cancelled all baseball related recreation programs due to risks associated with Covid-19. To ensure the safety of our community and in accordance with the recommendations of the Wisconsin Department of Health, the Town will not be holding Town sponsored or Town organized sporting events during the summer of 2020. Town of Delafield Parks Open to Public
The Delafield Town Parks are now open to the public including playgrounds, baseball and soccer fields, basketball courts and trails. Shelter rentals and field rentals will be available to reserve starting Tuesday, May 26, 2020. We ask that all residents and park visitors practice social distancing and use necessary precautions to stay safe. The skate park will remain closed due to repairs at this time.
