The Town hopes to lessen the risks associated with Covid-19 and follow the recommendations of the Wisconsin Department of Health by encouraging those who wish to listen to watch from the safety of their homes. The public comment of the meeting will be limited to Town Residents only and we encourage residents to wear protective masks and to social distance during the meeting.
Town of Delafield Sponsored Baseball and Softball Cancelled
The Town of Delafield Recreation Department has cancelled all baseball related recreation programs due to risks associated with Covid-19. To ensure the safety of our community and in accordance with the recommendations of the Wisconsin Department of Health, the Town will not be holding Town sponsored or Town organized sporting events during the summer of 2020. Town of Delafield Parks Open to Public
The Delafield Town Parks are now open to the public including playgrounds, baseball and soccer fields, basketball courts and trails. Shelter rentals and field rentals will be available to reserve starting Tuesday, May 26, 2020. We ask that all residents and park visitors practice social distancing and use necessary precautions to stay safe. The skate park will remain closed due to repairs at this time.
5/28 Town Board Meeting - Proclamation Limiting Public Comment
The Delafield Town Board will meet on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at 6:30 PM to discuss the possible closure of the skate park. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and to limit the number of people in attendance based on guidelines from the Department of Health and Safety, the Chairman asks that only Town of Delafield Residents who wish to speak attend the meeting in person. The Chairman has signed a Proclamation of Health Emergency outlining the procedures for the meeting. A zoom link will be available for those not attending the meeting to watch remotely. As public comment is limited to Town of Delafield residents, all non-residents are encouraged to submit their comments via email or in writing to the Administrator. Town Hall Temporarily Closed due to Covid-19
The Town Hall will be closed to all in-person activity due to the Covid-19 Virus and the State of Emergency declaired on March 20. Our building inspector and engineer will be working from off site and can still be reached at the numbers below. We ask that if anyone needs to enter Town Hall for the purpose of dropping building plans that do not fit into the dropbox outside, to please call ahead so someone may assit you when you arive. Town of Delafield Declares State of Emergency
Today Chairman Ron Troy signed a proclamation declaring a state of emergency for the Town of Delafield amid the Covid-2019 pandemic. Click here to see a full version of the declaration. The Town is taking precaution by shutting down all services at Town Hall except for absentee voting. We ask all residents to request an absentee ballot be mailed to them and avoid coming to Town Hall at all cost. If you are unable to request an absentee ballot be mailed, the Town Hall is open from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. We ask all voters to bring their own pen when coming to vote. The Town also has cancelled all upcoming meetings up until the Annual Meeting on April 21. We are also closing all baseball fields and the skate park to residents as to discourage groups of ten or more. Please use https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/ to request an absentee ballot. We appreciate your understanding through this hard time.
New Tax Information for 2019!
STARTING NEW IN 2019, PROPERTY TAX BILL PAYMENTS WILL NO LONGER BE ACCEPTED AT THE DELAFIELD TOWN HALL.
Through the months of December and January, the Town of Delafield has contracted with all Waukesha State Bank locations and Waukesha County Courthouse (Treasurer’s Office) to collect the Town’s 2019 property tax bills. You can pay by mail or in person. There is also a drop box located on the east side of Waukesha County Courthouse. Pay online or credit card or e-check at http://tax.waukeshacounty.gov. 2019 Taxes can be viewed on the Waukesha County website. Please click on PAY TAXES HERE. You will be able to search by Tax Key # or property address. Tax bills will be mailed out by December 6th.
ALL LATE OR PAYMENTS DUE BY JULY 31 MUST BE PAID TO THE WAUKESHA COUNTY TREASURER.
